Online Business Basic Model - Part 3

Let's look at the part 3 of this report - Autoresponder.

You may have heard it a thousand times before, if you have not, never mind I will say it one more time, "The money is in the LIST." It is very true, in order to have a sustainable online business, you got to have an responsive email list. It is your virtual customer base.

According to statistics, a visitor coming to your website will seldom make a purchase after viewing your compelling sales letter on the spot.It is human nature that he will need sometime to think it over.Once he leaves your site, chances are that he will never return because internet is such a vast space and also full of distractions. The unfortunate thing is that you will have no way to contact him again because you did not collect his information.

On the other hand, if you have collected his contact information and compiled a list, you can send him your offer repeatedly at strategically planned intervals. Each email can present your offer in different ways until he is convinced and make a purchase.Statistics show that this will only happen after the potential customer had viewed your offer after 7 times.Without a list it is impossible to do it.

To build a list it requires the following things:
  • An Autoresponder
  • A Web Form
  • A Capture Page or Squeeze Page

Autoresponder

An autoresponder is an online email management system. What it basically does is to collect the contact information of a visitor and sends a reply automatically.

It will send confirmation messages, welcome messages, tips & tricks, news and, most important of all, your affiliate offers to your subscribers automatically at smartly timed intervals, all according to your requirements.

As your list grows in size, the autoresponder has the capability to sort your subscribers into sub categories according to the niches they are in. Your list be neat and targeted, therefore you will not make the mistake of sending irrelevant messages and offers to them and irritate them. This is very important if you don't want your list to become smaller and smaller and eventually vanished.

There are many autoresponder providers out there. I am using AWeber because it is long established, reputable and has very good relationships with major e-mails providers. This aspect is very important because it will reduce the chances of having your emails been blocked as spams. You can start with $1 for a one month trail, subsequently you have to pay a monthly fee of $19.
This is insignificant considering the benefits of a responsive list brings you.

It has an eBook teaching you how to use the system to your best benefits as shown in the screen here.

Alternatively you can view the on site video to get started.

Web Form
Now, where do the visitors drop their information?
You let them fill up a Web Form, as the one shown here on the left.Good news is that it can be created easily within AWeber site itself. As you can see in the form which I use for this report, the subscriber only needs to give his name and e-mail address. That will be good enough, if you ask for more he might just click close and leaves.
To entice visitors to give their information, you have to give a free gift like a discount coupon or a free report. I will offer this "Online Business Basic Model" as an eBook for those who sign up for my newbies list. You will see the link to download it in part 4 of this report.

To create a web form with AWeber is easy: Login to your account, click the Web Form tab, the following screen will come up.

Click the green button "Create A New Web Form", then follow the on screen instructions to create your form.

Squeeze Page
There have to be a holder page for the Web Form to reside in. This is called a Squeeze Page or a Capture Page.
It will be the topic for the next part of this report.
