Put what you have learned to work now.

Most internet marketers,especially us Malaysians, are held back by one very wrong belief when building our online business.We believed that we should learn every thing about internet marketing, have a very solid foundation before doing any real work on our online business, just like the way we must get proper education before joining the work force in real life world. Therefore we bought tools, ebooks, reports and join courses and membership sites. We spend tons of money and hours after hours in training but not making a single cent.We are thus further convinced that we are not ready to start our business yet, we spend more money on buying stuff.
We buy all sorts of software when people tell us to run our business on "auto pilot".
We buy every ebook when the gurus offer to reveal their "tips" and "secrets".
We join one membership site after another because we do not want to miss out any "goldmine" or "treasure".
Stop. You have spent enough already!
It is now time to settle down to review what you have got in your own treasure trough and what you have learned all this while, try to sort them out and put them into good use. You might be able to start making some money right away. The most important thing to do now is to have a proper approach and stick to it, you would be amazed at the result you will get. I would like to suggest an approach briefly here:

1. Have a website with your own domain name for selling your product and building a list.
2. Find a nich market.
3. Creat a product or get someone to create it for you. You may convert a privete label rights (PLR) product and make it your own.
4. Sell the product at Clickbank,eBay,your own website or by emails to your list.
5. After making a sale, follow up with other related products or a more complex version of the product just sold at a much higher price.

Social network sites is the in thing on Internet now.Almost everybody has a Facebook account. Members use the network web to keep in touch,publish information,express personal feelings,advocate different ideologies,etc,etc. Most important,many Internet marketers use it to reach a wider market for their products.

Other popular social network websites include:My Space,Friendster,Twitter,LinkedIn,Tagged and Digg. Cashing on the trend there emerge many new breed of social network websites which pay their members to be active.

On these new websites,it seems promoting one's business opportunities or products has become secondary. The main activity here is to refer as many members as possible, stay on the site as much as possible and of course make as many posts as possible.Each of these activities will earn the member points which is used to calculate how much commissions a member will earn each month. If the monthly payment is too high, forget it, delete the account. If the monthly payment is low but you are still running at a loss, also forget it, go to another site. However, if after deducting your monthly payment you still have some surplus, stay with it, may be it will grow, it may take some time. Look for this type of websites, having joined many of these sites you may develop a steady income after a while. "Sedikit sedikit,lama lama jadi bukit!"

Brand yourself

When you decide to venture into Internet Marketing, the first thing you should do is to create a brand for yourself. People will recognise you, slowly trust you and then finally buy from you.

Use your real name instead of a nickname. This is the first essential step to take in gaining the trust of people online. If you have in the past used nicknames to flirt, spam, send hate messages, post hostile messages in chat rooms or forums, delete all of them.Don't ever let any one know these nicks belong to you!

On the other hand, if you have used nicknames in the past but have never done any of the above, you may keep your old nicks because this may help you to network with old friends. If you have being helpful and proven knowledgeable in any field, you are encouraged to associated with these nicks. But still you have to slowly switch to using your real name, and letting those who know your old nicks that you are them.

Don't be shy to let people know your real name whenever you offer them help,they will remember you.Soon you will have a group of loyal followers and you will be on your way to building an online business.

Most of us promote our products on our websites to take advantage of the huge number of Internet users out there.But the question is how many of these users are aware of the existence of our websites and come visiting? We must find ways and means to attract these users to visit our sites. When they see our products and like them and click on any of the "buy" buttons, we have a sale!
These streams of visitors to our websites are known as "traffic" in the Internet terms.Several methods are available to drive traffic to your websites, for example Pay-Per-Click (PPC),Search-Engine-Optimization (SEO),Paid text ads,Paid Banners Impressions, etc.But all these methods involve costs, some are expensive,beyond the ability of many, especially when you are just starting out.
Traffic Exchanges offer an alternative to the costly paid traffic generating methods. TE are basically membership sites for ordinary website owners like you and me to join and receive free traffic. Here is how it works,when you view the sites of other members, you earn credits and will be able to use the credits to advertise your website and let other members to view your websites in return. Each credit will allow your website to appear once, if you have lots of credits your website will therefore has lots of visitors.
But there is a big drawback to this method, due to the fact that the majority of the members are people like you and me who are only interested in the free traffic and not in buying any thing.They view your site just to accumulate their credits, they are not interested to look at what you have to offer. Similarly when you surf others' websites you don't bother to take an interest in their pages. So how do you expect to generate sales with this type of traffic?
